Your visit to Costa Hall – home of Geelong Symphony Orchestra

Deakin University’s Costa Hall is located on the Geelong waterfront, overlooking Corio Bay. The University refurbished the Dennys Lascelles Woolstores building in 1996, then creating Costa Hall in 1998. The newly refurbished theatre holds 1350 patrons and has been the home of the Geelong Symphony for the past 6 years.

Your visit to Costa Hall can include many local features of interest along the famous Geelong waterfront. The National Wool Museum is located just a block away, our iconic Carousel is located on the waterfront and a short walk along the promenade leads to Eastern Beach swimming enclosure, promenade and Beach Front cafe.

Sailors’ Rest Restaurant / Cafe

Around the corner from Costa Hall, overlooking Corio Bay is the legendary Sailors’ Rest. Completely refurbished to include a rooftop bar, this is the best destination for a pre-show drink or post-show dinner.

Sailor’s Rest is renowned for it’s food and service, great breakfasts and functions. The rooftop bar has set the standard for summertime cocktails overlooking the magnificent Corio Bay waterfront.
