Deakin University has always maintained a strong association with the arts community of Geelong and the GSO is an important cultural institution for the region and for Victoria.

In my relatively new status as a local resident, I really enjoy attending GSO concerts. The orchestra is known for its clever programming and high standard of performance, so it is no wonder this orchestra attracts world class soloists to present a repertoire that is both challenging and exhilarating for players and audiences alike.
