Nicolas Fleury Horn
Lyndon Watts Bassoon
Fabian Russell Conductor

All things ‘heroic’ in our last concert for 2024. The elegant yet commanding French horn as an air of the heroic, though Mozart’s concerto could not be more engaging. One could be called ‘heroic’ just for learning the bassoon! It’s repertoire is limited but its place in the orchestra is indispensable. Add Beethoven’s ‘break with tradition’ symphony, dubbed ‘Eroica’ and you have an afternoon of music… simply heroic.

Mozart Horn concerto No.4 in E flat major K.495
Mozart Bassoon concerto in B flat major K.191
Beethoven Symphony No.3 in E flat major Op.55 ‘Eroica’
